IN CUSTODY - Thank you!

As of 1:15pm today, Paul Moore has been taken into custody for his outstanding warrants.  In less than one hour of posting the information to our website, the Sturgeon Bay Police Department began receiving information on Mr. Moore's likely location.  Police promptly followed up on the leads and was able to take Mr. Moore into custody without incident.  In fact, Mr. Moore commented he saw the police posting and was considering turning himself in prior to police locating him.

Wanted: Paul M. Moore

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in locating and arresting Paul Mitcheal Moore, age 31, on outstanding warrants.  Paul is original from Missouri, but had been living in the Sturgeon Bay and Northeast Wisconsin area.

Paul's warrants are for three separate cases:
  • Failure to appear on a misdemeanor theft.
  • Failure to appear on a misdemeanor theft by false representation and bail jumping.
  • Issuance of worthless checks.  
Paul is known to operate as a freelance computer repair technician and would likely be working in the computer repair business.

Officers Safely Apprehend Suicidal Male

 
On February 19, 2016 at 5:00 AM officers were dispatched to the Door County Medical Center for a suicidal subject.  Upon arrival officers made contact with a 31 year old suicidal male who was evaluated by a Crisis Worker.  While officers spoke with the Crisis Worker, the male was observed holding a knife in the corner of a hospital room.  Officers made contact with the subject and attempted to negotiate with him. 

Officers were able to get the subject to drop the knife after pepper spray and Tasers were deployed.  Officers took the male into protective custody.  The male was transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment.  Officers and the suicidal subject sustained no major injuries.

Community Service Officer (CSO) Recruitment

 
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is currently looking for individuals interested in Community Service Officer (CSO) positions. Community Service Officers are civilian employees of law enforcement agencies who are assigned to handle certain non-emergency duties and calls for service. Thank you for your assistance!

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was able to locate and arrest Samuel Lloyd Paschke yesterday evening, thanks to several tips called into the police department.  The anonymous tips from the public proved vital in the apprehension of Samuel Paschke.

Public's Assistance Requested in Locating a Wanted Person

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Samuel Lloyd Paschke, 23 yrs old from Sturgeon Bay.  Samuel is currently wanted by our department for misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct charges related to a domestic incident that took place in early February.   In addition to the local charges, Samuel has a felony probation warrant through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.  Samuel is a white male, approximately 5’11”, 155 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.  Please refer to Samuel's photo below.    

If Samuel is located, do not make contact with him, but notify your local law enforcement department or the Sturgeon Bay Police Department at 920-746-2450 to report Samuel’s whereabouts. 

As a public reminder, it is a crime for any person to encourage the violation of a person’s probation rules and to harbor or aid a felon.

Scam Salesman


 
On February 11, 2016, a salesman tried to sell an elderly woman a bed worth several thousand dollars and refused to leave. The salesman was very persistent on getting her information.   The salesman quickly left after the woman told him Law Enforcement was on the way.   The woman explained she had initially received a call a few weeks back from “Easy Rest” stating she won a bed.

 Please be aware of any suspicious door to door solicitation.  Contact Law Enforcement if you are approached by a salesman asking for your information.  Get the vehicle description, license plate, and any information on the salesman.

Burglary Of Local Businesses


Nine high quality sweaters on wooden hangers were found on a ski trail in Northern Door County stolen from a Sturgeon Bay business.   One other local business in close proximity reported cash missing.
