On June 10, 2014, Sturgeon Bay Police Officer Markus Tassoul was promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Sergeant Tassoul assumed his new assignment on July 1, 2014 and will be assigned to the midnight shift. Sergeant Tassoul is a 2004 graduate of Southern Door High School and received his Bachelors of Letters and Science degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in 2008. Sergeant Tassoul has been a Sturgeon Bay police officer since April 9, 2009.
Sergeant Tassoul comes from a
family of Law Enforcement professionals; his father Randy is a former Sturgeon
Bay Police Officer and retired Door County Sheriff’s Department Investigator.
His brother Matthew is a deputy with the Door County Sheriff’s Department.
A total of six well qualified
Sturgeon Bay police officers competed in the sergeant’s promotional process.
The process consisted of a Letter of Intent, Resume, Written Test and concluded
with an Oral Interview in front of the Sturgeon Bay Police & Fire
Commission.
