If your 14 to 20 years old in High School and are interested in becoming a Police Officer we are looking for you! The Lakeshore Police Explorer Post 9368 is conducting ongoing recruitment for Kewaunee and Door Counties kids to come join in the fun!
The Explorer Post is designed for groups of young men and women ages 14 through 20, to get hands-on experience in the law enforcement career. Monthly meetings are held to show students the different aspects of law enforcement and what duties and responsibilities the student would have if he/she chose this career. The program includes presentations and hands-on activities in the following areas:
- Traffic stops
- Accident scenes
- Crime scene's
- Traffic control
- Drug investigation
- Jail/Communications
Police Explorers wear uniforms to the monthly meetings and also at public functions. Explorers may be used for public functions such as parades, fairs, and community programs. At these functions, Explorers may be asked to do traffic control, give out information to the public, or help agencies within the county and the programs they have. The Explorer Post is a non-profit organization that runs on donations and fundraisers held by the members.
