Sturgeon Bay Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography
On June 2, 2015, a 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man was charged in Door County Circuit Court with 16 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Child Sexual Exploitation - Videos, Records, etc, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance following a search warrant that was executed on his residence in late January of 2015. The search warrant stemmed from a cyber tip received by the Sturgeon Bay Police Department.

have always lived in our community but it was not until Act 440 was enacted
which allows law enforcement to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to
threaten, intimidate or harass the registered sex offender will not be tolerated.

Indecent Exposure
On Tuesday, May 26th, an officer responded to a male passed out at the intersection of North 5th Avenue and Jefferson Street. The officer was able to wake the male who was intoxicated and slurring his words. The male subject exposed himself multiple times while urinating. In doing so, he was exposing himself to oncoming traffic and pedestrians in the area. The male subject received a citation for “Urinating in Public”. The male subject called the next day to apologize for his actions and to anyone who may have seen the exposure.

National Police Week Begins
During this week tens of thousands of Law Enforcement Officers from across the nation will converge on Washington DC for remembrance and honor of their fallen comrades that have paid the ultimate sacrifice. This year there will be 273 fallen officers added to the nearly 20,000 other names permanently etched into the memorial’s walls.
So if you get a chance this week or in the future please go ahead and Thank an Officer for the job that he or she is doing…it just could make that Officers day or even his or her week!
