Officers Arrest Man For Bail Jumping After Making Threats
On December 7, 2012 at 10:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of the Michigan Street Bridge for a man threatening to harm himself by jumping into the lake if Officers were summoned to his location. Officers found the man near the Michigan Street Bridge yelling to an unknown person on his cell phone. Officers were able to make contact with the man without him knowing Officers were nearby. Officers were able to take the man into custody without injuring the man or Officers. Officers found that the 31 year old Sturgeon Bay man had bond conditions for absolute sobriety. Officers arrested the man for violating those bond conditions and incarcerated him at the Door County Jail.
