The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was asked by the local radio station 977 The Big Dawg to demonstrate on live radio the use of the Taser and its effectiveness. The Taser is a tool issued to Sturgeon Bay Officers and is used to deescalate situations where a higher use of force may cause greater harm to the individual.
Hervy Hodges and Al Johnson the owner of 977 The Big Dawg volunteered to test the devices effectiveness. The Police Department requires all Officers to be exposed to the Taser upon certification to use the device.
