On February 15, 2012 at 5PM, Officers met with a female complainant at the Police Department reference a suspicious phone call she had received from 347-418-0487. The caller id also displayed "New York Call". The caller a female with an accent had stated all senior citizens were receiving new social security cards and asked the complainant for her banking information. The complainant hung up on the caller and then reported the incident to Police. No sensitive information was given to the caller. Officers remind citizens to never ever give out sensitive information including social security numbers or banking information out over the phone.
