Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested For Burglary



On June 28, 2013 at 6:56 AM, Officers were dispatched to a residence on the west side of Sturgeon Bay for a Burglary. Upon arrival Officers found that a 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man had entered the residence without the homeowners permission and had went into the daughters bedroom. The daughter recognized the man as a former boyfriend who wasn't welcome at the residence. The daughters father escorted the man out of the residence and contacted Police in the morning when they found that money was missing from the residence.

Officers  made contact with the 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man and upon making contact recovered the stolen money, which was falling out of the mans pockets. Upon interviewing the 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man, Officers found that the 19 year old and a juvenile were responsible for an additional Burglary a few months prior to the same residence. During that Burglary the 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man and a juvenile stole numerous items from the residence including the families car.

The 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man was arrested on the following charges:
  • (2) Burglary 943.10
  • (2) Criminal Trespass To Dwelling 943.14
  • Operate Motor Vehicle Without Owners Consent 943.20
Charges for the juvenile were referred to the Door County District Attorneys Office.
