Pennsylvania Man Arrested After Causing Injury Accident
On February 27, 2015 at 8:46 PM, officers were dispatched to Maple Street for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers found two vehicles severely damaged on the side of the roadway. Officers made contact with two males in one of the vehicles and determined that they had been traveling down the road and had run into a parked unoccupied vehicle on the roadway. Due to the collision the parked vehicle was forced onto the curb and into a nearby tree causing the tree to be knocked over.
After being evaluated by Door County Paramedics, the driver a 43 year old Pennsylvania man was transported to Door County Medical Center where officers administered field sobriety tests (FSTS). After refusing to do the tests the Pennsylvania man was arrested for felony Operating While Intoxicated Causing Injury and medically cleared by emergency room staff. The Pennsylvania man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
