2 Arrested For OWI Sunday Morning


On Sunday morning, October 21, 2012, Officers arrested two for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). The first OWI arrest came at 12:30 AM when a Officer working on the west side of the Sturgeon Bay observed a vehicle travelling on Duluth Avenue in the other lane of travel. The Officer detected that the driver had been drinking alcohol and conducted field sobriety tests.  The male driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). The 44 year old Milwaukee Man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.

The second arrest came at 2:30 AM, when an Officer working downtown observed a vehicle travelling in the middle of the roadway. The Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found that the driver who didn't have a drivers license had been drinking. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the 26 year old  female from Milwaukee. The female driver failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). The 26 year old was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
