Officers Investigate Dog Bite, Need Public's Help
On September 29, 2012 at 3 PM, Community Service Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of North Third Avenue. Upon arrival Community Service Officers determined the victim who was with a friend walking behind Pizza Hut and the Draft Haus had been bitten multiple times by a medium size black dog with white on its paws. The dog, which had attacked the child didn't have a collar on it and the victim didn't know what kind of dog it was.
The child received medical attention at the Door County Medical Center for his injuries. Officers are asking if anyone has seen a similar dog in the area and know who the dog belongs to contact the Police Department at 920-746-2450 or if you wish to remain anonymous you can use the departments Confidential Web Tip Form located on the Police Departments website: http://www.sturgeonbaypolice.com/webtip.html or click "Give A Tip!" on the Police Departments Facebook page.
Unfortunately if the dog cant be found the child will have to begin receiving a series of rabies vaccinations.
