Synthetic Marijuana Banned In Sturgeon Bay!
As of April 24, 2011, Synthetic Marijuana also known as Pep Spice or K2 is banned for possession and or sale in the City of Sturgeon Bay. Synthetic Marijuana is an herbal incense, which has a chemical product sprayed onto it that causes the substance when smoked and or consumed to mimic the effects of Marijuana.
The Sturgeon Bay Police would also like to make parents aware of a new type of synthetic drug known as "Bath Salts", which is being sold in Sturgeon Bay at a local retailer. This drug is commonly snorted or smoked and it produces effects similar to Cocaine and or Meth. Recently Officers came into contact with a male under the influence of Bath Salts who was involved in a recent disturbance. The male stated to Officers that he had used the substance and was experiencing hallucinations at the time of his arrest. The Sturgeon Bay Police Department encourages parents to keep an open dialog with their children and to be aware of these types of dangerous substances.
