Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested For OWI
On June 1, 2013 at 2:55 AM, Officers investigating a Domestic Abuse incident overheard a car driving recklessly nearby. An Officer began to investigate the reckless driver and found the vehicle on Maple Street at Duluth Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle for failing to stop for a stop sign and made contact with the driver. The driver was identified as a 49 year old Sturgeon Bay man who Officers had contact with earlier in the night for another incident. While talking with the Sturgeon Bay man, Officers detected an odor of alcohol coming from him. Officers administered Field Sobriety Tests (FSTS) to the driver, which he failed. Officers gave a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT), which indicated a .10 amount. Officers arrested the 49 year old Sturgeon Bay man for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and transported him to the Door County Jail.
