21 Yr Old Forestville Man Arrested For OWI After Accident
Officers were dispatched late Sunday night to a one vehicle accident on the end of Circle Ridge Road. Upon arrival Officers observed a vehicle, which had crashed through a metal guard rail and two trees that lead to an embankment. After speaking with the driver who appeared to be intoxicated Officers conducted Field Sobriety Tests (FST). Officers arrested the driver a 21 year old Forestville man for Operating While Intoxicated after he failed FST's. The passenger 18 years old was cited for underage drinking. Fortunately air bags were deployed and the occupants in the car were wearing their seat belts. Likely if the occupants hadn't been wearing the seat belts this situation could have ended tragically with both individuals seriously injured or dead. The 21 year old Forestville man was booked into the Door County Jail on OWI, Inattentive Driving, Providing Alcohol To A Minor, and a Probation Hold.
