On Thursday September 8th at 3:43 AM, Officers were dispatched to the alleyway behind Cherry Lanes for an accident with injuries Upon arrival Officers found an automobile with severe damage to its rear end and the vehicles owner bleeding from his head. Upon further investigation it was determined that the injuries were not from the accident, but from an assault that had caused the accident. The victim was assaulted by a 23 year old Sturgeon bay man after the victim refused to provide a ride to the jail to bail out a mutual friend. Charges for Disorderly Conduct and Felony Substantial Battery are being forwarded to the Door County District Attorneys Office. The victim was treated at Door County Medical Center and released.
