With the Memorial Day weekend upon us Officers urge residents and visitors to slow down and to be patient while travelling through the City of Sturgeon Bay. Officers would like to remind everyone that the Michigan and Oregon Street Bridges will have staggered openings for boat traffic. Officers will be monitoring the detour route for traffic backups. Additional Officers and Deputies will be out patrolling the detour route conducting Click It or Ticket this weekend as well. With that being said all of the Officers at the Sturgeon Bay Police Department would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend.
The detours throughout the City of Sturgeon Bay are:
- Northbound cars and trucks will be detoured through the city of Sturgeon Bay along Green Bay Road to Madison Avenue to Michigan Street to WIS 42/57.
- Southbound cars will be detoured through the city of Sturgeon Bay along Egg Harbor Road to Jefferson Street to Third Avenue to Michigan Street to Madison Avenue to Green Bay Road to WIS 42/57.
- Southbound trucks will be detoured through the city of Sturgeon Bay along Michigan Street to Madison Avenue to Green Bay Road to WIS 42/57.
