On the afternoon of July 8, police received a tip that a 30 yr old male from Sturgeon Bay was in possession of marijuana. Police located the male walking down the street on the northeast side of the city. The male confirmed he had marijuana on him, along with a pipe. The drug evidence was seized and the amount indicated it was for personal use.
Since the male had no prior convictions for marijuana, he was issued ordinance citations for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Future offenses will result in a criminal arrest for marijuana possession.
