On January 31, 2012 at 7:58 PM, Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft complaint. Upon arrival Officers were told by Walmart Loss Prevention employees that they had someone steal one of their laptops that was on display. Officers were given footage of the incident and identified the person as a 42 year old Sturgeon Bay man. Officers made contact with the man and arrested him for misdemeanor Shoplifting and a Probation Hold. Officers incarcerated the 42 year old Sturgeon Bay man in the Door County Jail.
