On March 21, 2013 at 6 AM, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Michigan Street and 1st Avenue for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival Officers observed two vehicles damaged off to the side of the intersection. As Officers investigated the first accident another accident occurred in the same intersection.
Additional Officers were dispatched to the area to reroute traffic around the accident scene. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department responded to clean up the accident scene due to the vehicles leaking fluids onto the pavement. None of the drivers were injured and two of the vehicles had to be towed away from the scene. Officers remind drivers to expect delays due to the Bridge Detour and to slow down.
