On May 18, 2014 at 2:25 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on the west side of Sturgeon Bay. As Officers were making the traffic stop the driver opened the door and took off running. Officers pursued the driver while additional Officers began heading to the Officers location. Eventually after a brief foot chase Officers found and arrested a 31 year old Sturgeon Bay man. The 31 year old Sturgeon Bay man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail on Resisting/Obstructing Officers, Probation Hold, and Operating After Revocation.
One of the passengers inside the vehicle a 21 year old Sturgeon Bay woman was charged with Obstructing Officers for intentionally lying to Officers during the investigation.
