On June 9, 2014 at 2:03 AM, Officers were dispatched to a stabbing at Butches Bar. Upon arrival Officers found the 59 year old victim inside a parked vehicle in the alleyway behind the bar. The victim was bleeding from a wound to his chest. Officers provided aid to the victim while additional Officers began looking for the suspect. Officers learned from the victim that an altercation had occurred upstairs Butches Bar and the suspect stabbed him with a knife. A short time later Officers made contact with the suspect a 48 year old Sturgeon Bay man and arrested him. The 48 year old Sturgeon Bay man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail on numerous criminal charges. The 59 year old victim was transported by Door County Paramedics to Door County Medical Center with non life threatening injuries. The Door County District Attorneys Office is currently reviewing charges for the 48 year old Sturgeon Bay man.
