On May 16, 2014 at 1:58 PM, Officers were dispatched to Econo Foods for a lost purse. Upon arrival Officers found that the purse and its contents were returned except for the money that was in it. Officers reviewed video footage and found that the 53 year old Brussels woman who had returned the purse had taken the purse to Walmart and then back to Econo Foods. At Walmart video footage revealed the 53 year old woman purchasing items using the money that was taken from the purse. Officers have referred Theft charges to the Door County District Attorneys Office on the 53 year old Brussels woman.
