On May 19, 2014 at 5:10 PM, Officers were dispatched to a 911 follow-up to a residence on 7th Avenue. Upon arrival Officers found that the call was not a 911 follow-up but a disturbance. Additional Officers were dispatched and Officers made contact with the residents inside. Upon doing so Officers found a 58 year old Sturgeon Bay man who was intoxicated and uncooperative. When Officers went to arrest the man for a absolute sobriety violation he began to fight with Officers thwarting their attempts to arrest him. Officers had to escort the Sturgeon Bay man to the ground where Officers were eventually able to gain control of him. Officers incarcerated the 58 year old Sturgeon Bay man at the Door County Jail on the following charges:
- Resisting An Officer
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Probation Hold
