On January 3, 2012 at 10 AM, Officers were dispatched to 400 block of 18th Avenue for a Fraud complaint. Upon arrival the complainant stated she had received a check (Example Shown Above) via the USPS for $2150.00. The check was enclosed in a large envelope addressed to the complainant, but only made out to the complainants last name. The return address and the issuer were from another state and someone the complainant didn't know. Luckily in this case the complainant contacted Police before cashing the check.
