Officers Arrest Two After Striking Cherry Lanes Bar With Car
On January 19, 2012 at 11:30 PM, Officers on patrol downtown observed a male back into the Cherry Lanes Bar twice. Officers made contact with the male who admitted to striking the building twice. No damage was reported to the building, but the mans bumper was cracked as a result. While talking with the 40 year old from Sturgeon Bay, Officers noticed he had been drinking and field sobriety tests were conducted, which the man refused to do. Officers arrested the 40 year old from Sturgeon Bay for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense (OWI). The passenger a 43 year old Sturgeon Bay man who had also been drinking was arrested on a Probation Hold. Both Sturgeon Bay men were incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
