Motorist Crashes Into Stop Sign And Flees
On March 31, 2012 at 2 AM, Officers were dispatched to Elm Street and Duluth for a Stop Sign down. Officers arrived on scene and found a mangled stop sign on the ground. Officers were able to track tire tracks towards Beach Harbor Resort. At Beach Harbor Resort Officers found a truck with front end damage. The front end damage had chips of red paint in it consistent with striking a stop sign. Officers found out who the owners of the vehicle were and attempted to make contact with the individuals, but were unsuccessful. Officers in the morning were able to make contact with two men identified as a 20 year old Kronenwetter man and a 28 year old man from Wausau. Officers arrested the 20 year old for Obstructing An Officer, Underage Drinking, and an active warrant.
