Sturgeon Bay Woman Arrested For OWI 2nd
On November 26, 2013 at 2 AM, Officers stopped a vehicle after Officers recognized the driver as a revoked driver due to prior OWI offenses. Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver later identified as the registered owner of the vehicle a 42 year old Sturgeon Bay woman. While talking with the Sturgeon Bay woman Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from her as she spoke to them. Officers attempted to administer Field Sobriety Tests (FSTS), but the Sturgeon Bay woman refused to do them. Officers arrested the 42 year old Sturgeon Bay woman for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) 2nd offense and Operating While Revoked. The Sturgeon Bay woman was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
Officers Investigate Theft At Walmart
On November 25, 2013 at 4:16 PM, Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a theft. Upon arrival Officers obtained video surveillance footage and pictures of the male suspect. The male was observed inside the store stealing numerous electronic items. Officers are asking the public for help in identifying the person in the photographs.

Officers Investigate Burglary
On November 24, 2013 at 1:19 PM, Officers were dispatched to a residence on Texas Street for a Burglary. Upon arrival Officers were told by the complainant that the rear door to the residence had been forced open. A undisclosed amount of money was taken from the residence.
During the investigation Officers learned from neighbors that someone had attempted to enter another residence on Texas Street, but the unknown person left after the dog inside the residence began to bark. The homeowner didn't report the incident to Police.

Sturgeon Bay Woman Arrested For DC
On November 21, 2013 at 1:22 PM, Officers were dispatched to Probation and Parole for a female who was out of control. Upon arrival Officers met with a 47 year old Sturgeon Bay woman who was yelling and screaming profanities and creating a disturbance inside the offices of Probation and Parole. The Sturgeon Bay woman was arrested on a Probation Hold and for Disorderly Conduct. The 47 year old Sturgeon Bay woman was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
Officers Investigate Theft
On November 21, 2013 at 7:15 AM, Officers were dispatched to a Theft complaint at Young Automotive. Upon arrival Officers observed a red Ford F250 with all four of its rims and tires missing. Officers learned that sometime during the night someone had removed the tires. Officers continue to review evidence left at the scene.

Appleton Man Arrested For OWI
On November 17, 2013 at 12:03 AM, Officers on patrol observed a vehicle driving without its headlamps. Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Officers identified the driver as a 31 year old Appleton man. While talking with the driver Officers noticed the driver had been drinking alcohol. Officers administered Field Sobriety Tests (FSTS) to the driver, which the driver failed. Officers provided a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT), which indicated a .14 result. Officers arrested the Appleton man for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI), Operating without a valid license, and a felony arrest warrant from Outagamie County. The 31 year old man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
Sturgeon Bay Woman Arrested For Fraud
On November 15, 2013 at 3:45 PM, Officers were dispatched to the Police Department for a Fraud complaint. Upon arrival Officers found that a patient at a healthcare institution in the City of Sturgeon Bay had some suspicious transactions on their bank account. The family member told Officers that the patient shouldn't have had any transactions taking place. Officers investigated further and traced some of the transactions to Walmart in Sturgeon Bay. Officers retrieved surveillance footage and identified the person as a 58 year old Sturgeon Bay woman who had worked at the healthcare institution. Officers arrested the 58 year old Sturgeon Bay woman and charged her with the following offenses:
- Theft greater than $5000.00 from a resident of a facility or program.
- Unauthorized use of an individual's personal identifying information or
- documents.
- Financial transaction card crimes - Theft of debit card.
- Financial transaction card crimes - Fraudulent Use.
The 58 year old Sturgeon Bay woman was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
2 Sturgeon Bay Men Cited In Assault
Sturgeon Bay Woman Charged In Drug Incident Involving Minors
On November 13, 2013 at 2:39 PM, Officers were dispatched to a drug complaint at the Sturgeon Bay High School. Upon arrival Officers found that school officials had found Marijuana on one of the students and had learned multiple others had smoked Marijuana while on lunch break. Officers determined through interviews that a 45 year old Sturgeon Bay woman had driven her son and friends around Sturgeon Bay during their lunch break allowing them to smoke Marijuana. It was also found that this activity had occurred multiple times throughout the past months. The 45 year old Sturgeon Bay woman was charged with 5 counts of Intentionally Contributing To The Delinquency Of A Minor. The juvenile who had provided the Marijuana received a ordinance citation for Possession of Marijuana.
Social Security Scam
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department would like to remind everyone to never give out sensitive information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, or banking information over the phone unless you are positive you know who you are talking to is legitimate. Never hesitate to contact Police if you have questions or concerns over phone calls you are receiving.
Multiple Cited & Arrested For Drugs
On November 8, 2013 at 4:16 PM, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of Georgia Street for a strong odor of Marijuana coming from a nearby residence. Upon arrival Officers detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana emanating out of the windows of the residence. Officers made contact with the homeowner and observed drugs and drug paraphernalia. The following individuals were cited and or arrested:
- 20 year old Egg Harbor man arrested for a Probation Hold and cited for Possession of Marijuana.
- 20 year old Sturgeon Bay man cited for misdemeanor possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, and referred for a Felony charge of Possession of MDMA "ecstasy".
- 20 year old Forestville man cited for ordinance possession of Marijuana.
- 20 year old Sturgeon Bay man cited for ordinance possession of Marijuana.

Alcohol Compliance Checks Conducted This Past Week
This past week Officers conducted alcohol compliance checks at 33 establishments in the City of Sturgeon Bay. Prior to conducting the alcohol compliance checks letters were sent out to all establishments in September explaining that the Police Department would be conducting alcohol compliance checks in the next few months.
- 11 of the 33 establishments served alcohol to the minor who used a WI. license with a vertical format displaying the minors date they turn 21 years of age in red.
- 7 of the 11 establishments had served alcohol after carding the minor.
All 11 establishments will be cited for serving alcohol to minors. Alcohol compliance checks will continue until there are zero establishments in Sturgeon Bay serving alcohol to minors.

Sturgeon Bay Man Involved In Damage To Property
On November 3, 2013 at 7:44 PM, Officers were dispatched to a residence on 18th Avenue for a damage to property complaint. Upon arrival Officers found that a 18 year old male had gotten out from his vehicle and had intentionally broke a tree in half. After doing so the homeowner confronted the 18 year old Sturgeon Bay man about the damage. Officers cited the 18 year old Sturgeon Bay man for Trespass To Land and referred charges of Criminal Damage To Property to the Door County District Attorneys Office.
Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested In Break In
On November 4, 2013 at 5:38 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 5th Avenue for a damage to property incident. Upon arrival Officers learned a 39 year old Sturgeon Bay man had been asked to leave due to causing a disturbance earlier in the day. Later that night the Sturgeon Bay man returned to the property and broke into the building where he slept inside. While inside the Sturgeon Bay man caused damage to the property. Officers found the 39 year old Sturgeon Bay man and arrested him for the following offenses Criminal Damage To Property, Disorderly Conduct, and Entry Into A Locked Building. The Sturgeon Bay man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested For Trespassing
On November 3, 2013 at 1:19 AM, Officers were dispatched to Cherry Lanes Bar for a 32 year old Sturgeon Bay man who was intoxicated and had been asked to leave from the bar. Prior to Officers arrival the Sturgeon Bay man had left. A short time later Officers received another call that the same man had reentered the bar and had begun harassing customers.
Upon arrival Officers found the Sturgeon Bay man urinating across the street from the bar. Officers arrested the 32 year old Sturgeon Bay man for Criminal Trespass, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and issued the Sturgeon Bay man a citation for urinating in public. Officers incarcerated the Sturgeon Bay man at the Door County Jail.
Wauwatosa Man Arrested For OWI
On November 3, 2013 at 12:51 AM, Officers stopped a vehicle on Michigan Street for a traffic violation. While talking with the driver Officers found that the 56 year old driver had been drinking. Officers administered field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. The 56 year old Wauwatosa man was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI).

Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested For Fraud
On November 2, 2013 at 6:09 AM, Officers were dispatched to Econo Foods for a male using someone else's credit card. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the complainant who told Officers that a man who the complainant knew had attempted to use someone else's credit card. After a short period of time Officers located the 33 year old Sturgeon Bay man and found that the man had made 7 transactions using the stolen credit card. Officers determined the Sturgeon Bay man had found the credit card in Manitowoc and began using it in Sturgeon Bay to buy gift cards. Officers arrested the 33 year old Sturgeon Bay man on multiple counts of theft, credit card fraud, and felony forgery. The Sturgeon Bay man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.

3 Arrested In Thefts From Vehicles
On October 17, 2013 at 10:55 AM, Officers began receiving multiple reports of thefts from vehicles, which had been left unlocked overnight. Officers learned that during one of the incidents a homeowner had chased two males who had broke into his vehicle on 16th Place towards an adjacent field. Investigators began investigating the series of thefts and learned a Sturgeon Bay woman had pawned items stolen in the thefts in Green Bay. Officers interviewed the 19 year old Sturgeon Bay woman and learned of other suspects involved in the incidents. Thus far three have been arrested for the following charges:
19 year old Sturgeon Bay woman:
-4 counts of Receiving Stolen Property
-1 charge of Resisting/Obstructing an Officer
19 year old Sturgeon Bay man:
-Probation Hold
*Further charges forthcoming.

Officers expect to make more arrests regarding this incident. The investigation into this incident is ongoing. Officers remind citizens to lock their vehicles when left unoccupied and to never leave valuables inside.
Luxemburg Man Arrested For OWI
On October 29, 2013 at 4:25 PM, Officers stopped a vehicle on Green Bay Road near Hudson Avenue for traffic violation. Upon making contact with the driver Officers found that he had been drinking alcohol. Officers administered Field Sobriety Tests, which the Luxemburg man failed. Officers provided a preliminary breath test (PBT), which indicated a .15 amount. Officers arrested the 56 year old Luxemburg man for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) and transported him to the Door County Jail.

Green Bay Man Arrested In Disturbance
On October 25, 2013 at 11:00 PM, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the AmericInn. Upon arrival Officers were advised a male had broken a room window and had assaulted a female. Officers were also told the Green Bay man might be armed with a knife. Officers searched the complex finding the Green Bay man hiding in the bushes. After investigating the incident, Officers arrested the 23 year old Green Bay man on the following charges:
- Disorderly Conduct
- Battery
- False Imprisonment
- Criminal Damage To Property
- Strangulation or Suffocation
The Green Bay man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
Texas Man Arrested For Possession of Drugs
On October 21, 2013 at 7:37 AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of 17th Drive for a male passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle. Officers made contact with the man and determined he had been drinking alcohol. While investigating the incident, Officers determined the man was in possession of illegal drugs without a valid prescription. Officers arrested the man for possession of amphetamines and drug paraphernalia. The 40 year old Texas man was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
