The City of Sturgeon Bay Bicycle
& Pedestrian Advisory Board would like to remind everyone that May
is National Bike Month. Established in 1956, National Bike Month is a
chance to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and encourages more people to
give it a try. 40% of all trips in the US are less than two miles, making
bicycling a feasible and fun way to get to around. Plus, bicycling
provides the added bonus of being a healthy, sustainable, and economic transportation
option. Highlighted within Nation Bike Month are Bike to School Day (May
10th), Bike to Work Week (May 15th thru May 19th)
and Bike to Work Day (May 19th).
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is proud to serve, protect, and work in partnership with the community to ensure a safe nurturing environment.
