Undercover Chat Investigation Leads To Arrest of North Carolina Man!

In September, 2010, Sgt. Greg Zager of the Sturgeon Bay Police Department began an undercover investigation involving Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).  During this investigation Sgt. Zager spoke in an online parenting chat room with a 53 year old Charlotte, North Carolina man identified as Robert Bove.  During the course of this investigation Bove sent photos or digital images of very young children to Sgt. Zager, most or all kids in various stages of undress.  Sgt. Zager contacted the authorities in North Carolina and a search warrant was obtained for the residence of Bove.  As a result of the warrant, Bove was arrested and has been charged in Charlotte with 10 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  Bove is currently incarcerated on Federal charges in North Carolina.  In addition to this investigation, Sgt. Zager has assisted numerous Law Enforcement Agencies in Wisconsin, New York, Missouri, Kentucky, Ohio, Colorado, North Dakota, and Minnesota on ICAC investigations that have led to arrests.
