On December 18, 2012 at 4:00 PM, Officers were dispatched to assist Sturgeon Bay Fire Department with a fire at T.J. Walker Middle School on 14th Avenue. Upon arrival Officers found that in the upstairs boys bathroom a soap dispenser had been lighted on fire and had melted off of the wall. Due to the fire the bathroom wall where the soap dispenser was mounted sustained heavy smoke damage. After a series of interviews and reviewing video footage from cameras inside the school, Officers determined a male juvenile was responsible for the arson. The juvenile was referred to the Door County District Attorneys Office on charges of Arson and Resisting and Obstructing Officers.
