Sturgeon Bay Women Arrested For Burglary


On January 9, 2013 at 4:00 PM, Officers were dispatched to a Burglary at a residence on Neenah Avenue. Upon arrival Officers were informed that someone had entered the residence and had stolen bottles of liquor.

Earlier in the day, Door County Sheriffs Deputies had made contact with two women who were walking their dogs in the area of the Burglary. It was later determined a 30 year old Sturgeon Bay woman had driven to the location and had gotten her vehicle stuck. The 30 year old Sturgeon Bay woman was later arrested by Door County Sheriffs Deputies.

Based on the earlier incident, Officers searched the nearby area of where the Deputies had last made contact with the women and located a set of footprints leading up the roadway. Near the footprints were two bottles of liquor, which were discarded near the roadway.  Officers interviewed the 30 year old Sturgeon Bay woman and found she had burglarized the nearby residence. Officers arrested her and incarcerated her at the Door County Jail. The other woman involved a 57 year old from Sturgeon Bay was issued a ordinance citation for Trespass To Land and released.
