Established in 1981 by former President Ronald Regan, National Crime Victims' Rights Week brings people together to promote victims' rights, celebrate progress made, and advocate for the victims. Many victims face barriers such as isolation and vulnerability, distrust of authorities, lack of transportation and language barriers.
