The men and women of the Sturgeon Bay Police Department would like to express our heart felt condolences to our brothers and sisters in blue at the Fond Du Lac Police Department and their respective families. Law Enforcement is one big family and this news is very difficult for all of us as many of us have gone to training with the Officers who have been killed and injured in this incident.
Earlier today around 6 AM a man barricaded inside a home shot 2 Officers and a K9 with a high powered rifle. A standoff ensued where the SWAT team eventually found the man dead inside the home. We continue to pray for all of the Officers involved.
