On February 18 at 2:20am, a city officer had a vehicle going 43 mph on the Michigan St Bridge. A stop was made and an odor of intoxicants was detected from the driver, a 41 year old female from Sturgeon Bay. Field sobriety tests showed impairment and the driver was arrested for OWI-2nd offense and cited for speeding.
On February 18 at 2:35am, a city officer stopped a vehicle on the east side of the city for squealing their tires. The driver, a 28 year old male from Sturgeon Bay, smelled of alcohol and tests indicated impairment. The driver was arrested for OWI-1st offense.
