The Sturgeon Bay Police Explorer Post is hosting an open house on June 6, 2017 at 6:00 pm, at the Sturgeon Bay Police Department.
The Explorer Program is for students who are interested in learning about the duties and responsibilities of a law enforcement officer. The program includes educational presentations and hands-on activities that includes:
- Traffic stops
- Accident scenes
- Crime scenes
- Traffic control
- Drug investigation
- Jail/Communications
The program is open to men and women between the ages of 14-21. Before being accepted into the program, applicants must pass a background check and be a good, responsible student.
