STURGEON BAY POLICE DEPARTMENT

Thank you Sturgeon Bay!

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department would like to express our thanks to the Mayor, City Council, citizens and business in our community for showing appreciation to the men and women of this Department during National Police Week.  The officers of the Sturgeon Bay Police Department take great pride in serving this city, day and night.

National Police Week was established in 1962, when President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

At the May 16 City Council meeting,
Mayor Birmingham and the City Council issued a Proclamation to Chief Arleigh Porter recognizing Police Week and the service provided by SBPD.

Thank you to Sturgeon Bay High School Student Council for providing the department some treats and Mrs. Richard's 4th grade class at Sunrise Elementary School for some appreciation cards.

Several other citizens and businesses have sent goodies and thank you letters to the Department, and your expression of gratitude is noticed and appreciated.
