Zager had prior experience with the Wood County Sheriffs Department, Maple Bluff Police Department and the Sun Prairie Police Department before making Sturgeon Bay home.

During his time here, Sgt. Zager earned his Master's Degree and graduated from the FBI National Academy in 2008.  Sgt. Zager excelled in all areas of criminal investigations and developed a statewide reputation for his work in investigating Internet Crimes Against Children.

At the May 16 City Council meeting, Chief Arleigh Porter presented Sgt. Zager and his wife a shadow box, displaying all the different badges he wore while employed as a police officer for Sturgeon Bay.  Sgt. Zager was also presented a plaque for an Outstanding Service Award on behalf of Wisconsin's Attorney General, Brad Schimel.

We wish Sgt. Zager and his family all the best and thank you for your service!
