On June 14, 2018 at 5:19 PM, An officer working patrol
observed a vehicle
occupied by Shawna Sperber and Santos Garcia of Sturgeon Bay. Both individuals
were escapees of the Door County Jail, who were out on Huber release. The officer
attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, which then fled at a high
rate of speed. The officer pursued the vehicle until it stopped on the city’s
east side. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident.

Possession of Methamphetamine-Felony

Santos Garcia Jr-Passenger of the vehicle.
Escaped Door County Inmate- Felony Arrest Warrant
A search was conducted on the vehicle, officers located pipes used for marijuana and methamphetamine. Additionally, other evidence was located and seized from the vehicle. Both Shawna and Santos are incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
