3 Charged With Citgo Gas Station Armed Robbery

On August 20, 2013 at 2:00 AM, Officers were dispatched to an Armed Robbery at the Citgo Gas Station on Michigan Street. Upon arrival Officers found that a white male wearing a paint ball mask walked into the gas station and threatened the clerk with a large black knife. The male made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured in the robbery.

From 2 AM to 8 PM, Officers from the Sturgeon Bay Police Department fielded tips and interviewed citizens who were out walking around during the Robbery. During the course of interviews a 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man named Dylan Austad was identified as the person who committed the Robbery. While investigating the Robbery incident, Officers found that Dylan Austad was also wanted in questioning by the Door County Sheriff’s Department for additional Burglaries that occurred in Door County.

Additionally Officers arrested two other Sturgeon Bay men who assisted in the Robbery. Those two males were identified in the area by Officers responding to the Robbery. One of those males is a juvenile and the other male is a 19 year old Sturgeon Bay man identified as Joshua Robel. The two adult males are incarcerated in the Door County Jail.

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department would like to thank everyone who assisted with this matter especially the individuals that provided information. It shows that crime like this will not be tolerated by the citizens of Sturgeon Bay.
