Officers Investigate Attempted Break In To Residence

On March 31, 2013 at 7:58 AM, Officers were dispatched to an attempted break in to a residence in the 100 block of 7th Avenue.  On arrival Officers observed the rear glass screen door on the patio damaged.  Officers also observed a large amount of broken glass and blood on the siding of the house and exterior door. Officers took evidence from the scene and attempted to follow the footprints left from the suspect in the snow. Officers lost the foot prints and blood trail as the suspect(s) crossed into the alleyway near Michigan Street.  Officers later found that a neighbors dog had began to bark aggressively at someone or something around 4 AM. The person responsible for the attempted break in should have cuts and lacerations to their hands and forearms.

If anyone has information regarding the attempted break in they are urged to contact the Police Department at 920-746-2450 or use the confidential web tip form located at http://www.sturgeonbaypolice.com/webtip.html
