Sturgeon Bay Woman Arrested For OWI

On March 23, 2013 at 2:15 AM, Officers working downtown were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Street and Third Avenue for an intoxicated motorist. Upon arrival numerous pedestrians were pointing to a vehicle. The pedestrians and a nearby taxi driver stated the driver could hardly walk and was now driving the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with a 25 year old female driver.

While talking with the driver Officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages coming from her. Officers attempted to administer Field Sobriety Tests (FSTS), but the driver could hardly stand due to her intoxication level. The driver was issued a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT), which indicated a .20 amount. The 25 year old female driver was arrested for OWI and assisted to the squad car. The 25 year old female was transported to the Door County Jail.
