On July 3, 2012 at 8 PM, Officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for almost causing an accident at an intersection downtown. While conducting the traffic stop Officers detected an odor of burnt Marijuana coming from the inside of the vehicle. Officers administered field sobriety tests to the driver, which the driver failed. The 20 year old Illinois man was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). Upon searching the vehicle, Officers seized two bundles of money, Drug Paraphernalia, and Drugs. Officers cited the 3 occupants and the driver with ordinance Drug Possession and Drug Paraphernalia. The 20 year old driver was incarcerated at the Door County Jail.
