On July 15, 2012 at 7 PM, Officers were dispatched to Pizza Hut for Battery complaint. Upon arrival Officers interviewed the complainant who was an employee of the business. While interviewing the employee Officers learned that about 45 minutes ago a 36 year old male from Dunbar and his sister came into the restaurant wanting to pay for a pizza they had ordered online. Due to only having a personal check, Pizza Hut was unable to issue money back to the man. Upset by this the man started to yell and shout at the employees of Pizza Hut. The sister of the man paid for the pizza, but the man left without the pizza and took his sister with him.
Pizza Hut employees felt bad and knew who the sister was and drove the pizza to the residence. Upon arrival they made contact with the male and advised him his pizza was here. The male came out to get the pizza and ripped the interior door from the Pizza delivery persons arm causing an injury to the females shoulder and hand. While doing this the male began to yell and threaten the delivery person. The delivery person left due to being afraid for her safety and returned to Pizza Hut where she contacted Police.
After hearing what had occurred, Officers made contact with the 36 year old male and arrested him for Battery to the delivery person and Disorderly Conduct. Officers transported the male to the Police Department to be interviewed. While interviewing him the male became disorderly and repeatedly began to bang his head against the concrete wall of the Police Department. Officers and Sturgeon Bay Firefighters had to restrain the man and Paramedics transported the male to the Door County Medical Center for the injuries he had caused to himself. After receiving medical treatment the 36 year old male was transported to the Door County Jail where he was incarcerated on 2 counts of Disorderly Conduct and 1 count of Battery.
