55 Yr Old Sturgeon Bay Man Arrested For OWI
On Friday at 12:00 AM, Officers on patrol downtown observed a vehicle travel past a stop sign and nearly strike the squad car the Officer was driving. The Officer turned around and stopped the vehicle. The Officer made contact with the driver a 55 year old Sturgeon Bay man and noticed he had been drinking and his words appeared to be slurred. The Officer conducted field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. The Officer arrested the man for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). While conducting a search of the man, Officers confiscated Marijuana from his pocket, which the man states he forgot about. The 55 year old Sturgeon Bay man was transported to the Door County Jail were he was booked into the jail on the above charges.
