On May 10, 2012 at 8:40 PM, Officers were conducting extra patrol of the cities parks when they observed a vehicle parked near the Sunset Park boat launch. As Officers approached the vehicle Officers observed a male slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle. Officers made contact with the male to access his condition. Officers weren't able to immediately wake the man up, but eventually did get the man to respond to Officers commands. Upon opening the vehicles doors Officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages and conducted field sobriety tests (FSTs). The 61 year old Sturgeon Bay man failed FST's and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI).
