2 Arrested Saturday Night For OWI!



On Saturday night Officers arrested two for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). The first arrest came at 11:11 PM after an Officer working on the west side of Sturgeon Bay observed a man driving into the other lane of travel on Duluth Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the man had been drinking. Field Sobriety Tests were administered, which the man didn't pass. Officers arrested the 41 year old Sturgeon Bay man for Operating While Intoxicated Third Offense and transported him to the Door County Jail where he was incarcerated.

The second arrest occurred at 11:15 PM, after an Officer on the east side of Sturgeon Bay observed a vehicle speeding on Egg Harbor Road nearly strike a median as the vehicle drove into the other lane of travel.  The Officer stopped the vehicle and conducted field sobriety tests on the driver after he had noticed the driver had been drinking. The driver a 24 year old Milwaukee man failed the tests and was subsequently arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI).
