3 Arrested For OWI Saturday Night!


On Saturday, September 1, 2012, Officers arrested three overnight for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) in the City of Sturgeon Bay.

The first was arrested at 9:01 PM after speeding on Duluth Avenue. Officers made contact with the 52 year old female and determined she had been drinking. Officers conducted field sobriety tests, which the female didn't pass. Officers arrested the female for Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense.

The second OWI occurred after Officers working on the west side of Sturgeon Bay observed a vehicle going over 26 mph over the speed limit on Maple Street. Officers stopped the vehicle and determined the driver a 32 year old male from Green Bay had been drinking. Officers conducted field sobriety tests, which the male didn't pass. Officers arrested the man for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI).

The third OWI occurred at 2:21 AM, Officers on patrol downtown observed a vehicle with expired plates. Officers made contact with the driver a 22 year old Manitowoc man and detected that he had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were conducted, which the driver failed. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated due to drug impairment.
